The Catholic Crusaders

There are many unsolved mysteries surrounding the Charlotte Catholic building, but after years of in depth research and undercover work, perhaps the biggest mystery has just been solved. It seems like throughout the school day, there is one student who keeps having to go to the restroom during every period. After following leads for over four years, I found the truth. The truth is… those students are secret superheroes that use the bathroom to change into their superhero identities and fight crime in downtown Charlotte.

The clues began appearing during freshman year. I kept seeing the same couple of kids use the restroom during every class that I shared with them. It seemed odd at first, but then things began to add up. The relaxed looks on their face, how it was many people from multiple classes going to the same restroom, and most damning of all, just how long it took for them to come back to class. All of these things clearly meant one thing, they had just fought a huge monster in downtown Charlotte, they clearly were relieved of their victory over the creature, and that they needed all the help they could get.

It took nearly a year till I was able to revisit this story. It all started on April 8th, 2024. I was just minding my own business, when I heard a commotion. The fire alarm was going off. As I began to make my way to the outside near the parking deck, a very particular sight caught my eye. Multiple students were seeming to make their way to the restrooms instead of following the rest of the students outside. Then it hit me. They were getting into their superhero costumes to fight this fire monster that had been attacking our school! It would seem like the administration was also in on their heroism, because later that day, they tried to cover up the epic battle by saying how it was only an accident when a student accidentally hit a sprinkler with a football.

It seemed like this was the end of these Catholic Crusaders, but I was wrong. The final time I encountered these heroes was only a month or so ago. During the C period, a tornado watch was put onto our school. We were all heading to the hallways in order to keep ourselves protected from the danger. As I looked around the hall, I saw multiple students looking at the windows, then asking to use the restroom. Only a couple minutes later, we returned to class. It would seem as if these students had protected our school from an evil weather villain, and still had time to come back and resume class.

There are many questions that are unanswered about these students. Who are they? Why have they chosen to take it upon themselves to save our school? Why does it take 30 minutes for some heroes to come back, while only a few for others, and why does it always happen when I also need to use the restroom? These questions are some that truly baffle us. We may never know what true horrors these brave students have faced after their return to class, but we are forever grateful for their sacrifices.
